Adjustable ear plug

A mutable reusable ear plug for astronauts to avoid buzzing sound of International space station to give them better sleep.

Description

The earplug was invented in Germany 100 years ago. My idea proposes a mutable reusable ear plug for astronauts to avoid buzzing sound of International space station to give them better sleep. The adjustable ear plug will allow them to reuse it and if they want to listen to their fellow crew members, some music or on board alarm signals they can just umute it by rotating the knob, there is no need of removing the ear plug. The need:- "Studies on a single space shuttle flight found temporary partial deafness in the crew. Inside the International Space Station (ISS) it is so loud that some fear for the astronauts’ hearing. At its worst, the noise level in sleep stations was about the same as in a very noisy office (65 decibels). An article in New Scientist reported, “Astronauts on the ISS used to have to wear ear plugs all day, but are now only [required to] wear them for 2 to 3 hours per work day.” The need for earplugs, even for part of the day, indicates how hostile the soundscape is. Squidgy foam earplugs can reduce sound by about 20–30 decibels. The higher levels of carbon dioxide and atmospheric contaminants that exist at zero gravity in spacecraft might also make the inner ear more susceptible to noise damage." https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn9379-noisy-iss-may-have-damaged-astronauts-hearing/ http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/crux/2015/01/28/space-sound-like/#.Woe4MehubDc We make better ear plugs for International space stations to protect hearing of astronauts in space and we would love if you can support us by using of products here on earth too.
